The Suessification of Romeo and Juliet

Hello! It's Cailin here. I was in the play called, The Suessification of Romeo and Juliet. It was performed in April. I was Narrator 1, which is Thing 1 narrating a play, with my friend Jessie as Narrator 2. It was super fun. I love acting, and even though this play was super, super weird, it was still super fun.

Delaney here:   I played the part of Prologue, Mr. Monotone and Paris--yes that is 3 different parts!    It was really fun, but it was really, really long.  We practiced this play all year long....we started in September and finally performed it at the end of April.  I wish I could have been Juliette, but I still had fun playing the parts I had.

Liam here:   It was kind of good and kind of not.  Good, because all the character knew their lines and not good because the costumes were crazy.  I like doing this because I found one really good friend....SAM!! (I'm pictured with him above).

Easter Celebrations

Easter Egg Hunt at the Buchinsky's...

 Brianne wasn't quite sure what to do....and once she figured it out she thought two or three eggs were quite enough.

 Liam on the other hand knew exactly what to do....and did it well!  He loved the jelly beans the best.  He gladly traded all his chocolate candy with Delaney, who got mostly jelly beans, for her jb's.  She was dismayed at getting so many jb's and happily took Liam up on his trading offer!

 The hunt for the older kids was much more work than the others...but they did come away with quite a load to eat and enough to share with their mom....(yes, mom tax was in effect!)

A History Explorations Study

Tell me about Columbus....We've been having fun learning about Christopher Columbus and many of the other explorers of the late 1400s and early 1500s.   Here we spent the afternoon with our history group friends launching boats and eating some too!

Willy Wonka

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory---this is the play that the kids participated in at the high school.  They have such fun making new friends and being on stage under the direction of Mr. McCoy.  Cailin played the part of Mrs Gloop.  Delaney and Liam were village children (Delaney had a speaking part) and Oompa Loompa's.  Brianne even got in on the fun and joined them on stage for some of the songs.  (If she would listen better I would have let her stay on more because the audience sure did love her dancing moves!)

Conference Weekend

Oh how we love to watch conference!!  We just wish Barry could have been with us.  He was busy bringing home the bacon....or maybe the eggs, flour, sugar and cinnamon.

Liam's Spring Soccer Season 2014

Liam had a GREAT soccer season this past spring.  He loves to play!  How fun it was that his coach also coached Ryan many years ago.  Ben Linkous was wonderful with the kids and inspired them to learn and play hard, but have lots of fun!
