Wishes Do Come True

A few months ago, early in the spring, while we were shopping at Lowes, Delaney spied the large wooden play ground structures and told her daddy "I know you can't afford one of those right now, but I know that you'll get me one when you can, right Daddy?" Thus began her desire for a wooden playset and Barry's desire to fulfill that wish.
A month or so later while we were at 84 Lumber we found a kit with all the hardware and plans discounted from $100. to $34. Grab it, what a deal. Now, we just have to save the money for the lumber and find the time to build it.
Next came the phone call from Grandma and Grandpa...."we're coming to visit in July!"
Great, Grandpa is fantastic at building things, just the person to spearhead this project!
It's looking like Delaney's wish will come true.
So in July and a trip or two later to Lowes for supplies and the men were off....building an amazing playset.

Ryan and Connor helped some too. Here the men work hard trying to get the last few boards of the the floor down before dusk moves to night.
A few days of hard work and the amazing playset is finished....well almost done, setting up the swings (Delaney's favorite part of the set) and the canopy still have to be put in place. An impromtu splurge and unplanned purchase later, we have a climbing wall that all the kids love. (Definately worth the beans and rice meals for a while.)
After much hard work the guys get to play some too!
