Our new little girl will be arriving on the 14th of December, unless of course, she has made other plans. Because I'm diabetic and on insulin this time around and our little treasure has Down Syndrome, the doctors want to be in control of all they can with this delivery. I was hoping for my body to naturally go into labor this time, but alas, it's not to be. The upside, we'll definately be home for Christmas. I can't wait to hold her in my arms.....only 3 1/2 weeks to go!
Yeah! I am so excited for her to arrive. The good thing about having a date is that we (meaning the RS sisters) can plan meals and lots of help.
ReplyDeleteI kind of know what you mean. I was hoping to into labor naturally and try not to even have an epidural this time. Our little John had other plans...
ReplyDeleteI mean, I am an amazing woman and all, but I wasn't about to have an emergency C-section without medication. ;)
Holding her will be so wonderful. I always get so excited to first hold my newborn. I will pray that all goes smoothly and she doesn't have to be in the NICU. It was hard to wait to hold John.
I know this is off of the subject but, I really love the green colors you have on your walls in your kitchen...well, I think it is the kitchen...in the room where Cailin is holding her newly made quilt.
Just a few more weeks-- she'll be here in no time!!
ReplyDeleteIt's exciting to think that right now she's getting her last bit of instruction and advice before she starts this mortal journey... I'm sure the feeling is much like how parents feel before sending their children off for their first day of school... excitement, trepidation, a little anxiety... Good thing she'll be in such good hands! :)
We can't wait to meet her!
