A Trip to Ancient China and India

History presentations have come again, this time we traveled to ancient China and India. We learned about....

China's pre writing form called pictogram's. Another kid presented on calligraphy. Their writing system is quite complex. To write well is considered an art form.

....Asia, and all it's geographical features and countries


....A time line of what and when certain items we still use today were invented in China.

...How silk was discovered, how it's made, and how they kept it secret for such a long time.
(the presenter even brought real silk worms to show)

Moving on to India.....we learned about,

The custom of sisters giving brothers bracelets, for the promise and in honor, of their brothers protecting them. (we also learned that makeup and jewelry are worn by boys, not girls in ancient India.)
