Growing Sweet Potatoes

 This is my weedy sweet potato patch...nothing much to look at, but I was able to harvest some this year.  I tried planting sweet potatoes two other years.....last year and once before in our home on Crestline Dr.  This year was a fruitful experience!  Although, I think it would have been more cost effective to buy sweet potatoes.  I spent $5. on 9 plants only six of them produced.  Although I don't know how much my harvest wieghs, I think it would have been cheaper to purchase them at Kroger just before Thanksgiving at .39 cents per pound.....but that certainly wouldn't have been as much fun as digging them up myself.

 I did have a helper....Liam was quite the potato digger until he found this roly poly...then all help was lost.  Digging sweet potatoes just doesn't have the same appeal as this little ball of fun.
