This was Cailin's 2nd year of girls camp. She had a good time last year, but I think it's safe to say she had a great time this year. As she tells me, (because she refuses to write this herself) she had wonderful spiritual moments and she has now "felt it right here" (as she is tapping her chest) "Mom, I know it's true." She now has a personal testimony that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I started to cry, while I asked her when or what happened to bring that knowledge to you? She just shook her head, "I don't want to talk about it right now, I'm tired of feeling spiritual." I chuckled and waited patiently (or not) for when she would tell me more later. She did-- she told me that it was just everything and overall confirmation--not really one thing. Such a great change from "I don't know if it's true, and I don't really care to find out." At one time she was asked to identify one of her talents, she said she can do hard things--she doesn't shy away from them, she just grits through it and gets it done. I'd have to agree. From Latin, Logic and science fair, to the 5 mile hike with others who aren't quite happy and mowing in hot humid weather, (and maybe even working for the Hill's 11 hours straight on 4th of July festival), she definitely knows how to do hard things....and complete them! Sometimes even with a smile :)
