A Night Out!

Every year the boys in the family go to a Father and Son's campout. This year, they planned to attend but a scheduling conflict kept them home. Instead they headed out for a movie night instead.
They saw Ironman 2. I think they had a great time --popcorn, soda pop and no girls --what's not to love right? Well no girls for a little while anyway. Barry says that he stopped counting how many of the bottomless buckets of popcorn they ate. (Connor tells me they downed at least 6 large buckets!) --I tried to get Barry to take the camera for a photo--he laughed and didn't for quite a while!

As for us girls, we planned a girls night out for the next night with some friends. The night began with a meal of spicy mexican food. There was a pet store next to the resturaunt, so we looked at many fish, bunny rabbits (no girls, we can't have another pet!!! 6 is plenty!)

From there we went to a store to shop for jewelry. Now, shopping isn't one of my favorite pass times, but, I think we had a great time searching and finding great deals.
Here the girls show off their bejewed finds. Necklaces, braclets, rings oh my!

A sweet ending to a perfect night out!

I know I had a great time....I think my girls did too!

Sweet Pea

Brianne tried her first solids (other than cereal in her bottle) today. Mmmmm sweet peas. Actually, they weren't bad, they really were sweet; much better than the mushy nasty balls of green that I remember eating while growing up.
I wanted to introduce a veggie that she could possible reject and move into the sweet yummy fruits later, in hopes that it would instill a love of veggies....well she likes these. She ate about a half a jar.
One down, so many more yummy vegetables to go. After a few days of peas I think we'll try greenbeans next.

Oh, I love those beautiful blue eyes.

When she was done and I cleaned her up (she loved that ;)--I found to my amusement, this on her shirt.....Sweet Pea. How funny and I didn't even plan it.

The Bumblebee's--Spring Soccor

For the past few years Cailin has been asking me to sign her up for soccor, but I always seem to miss the deadline to actually do it. This year, I finally got her signed up in time. She loves it of course. It's fun to watch her get in there and chase after the ball. A couple of time she's even tripped an opposing team member. I especially like to watch the little twirly dance she does after she kicks the ball (this doesn't always happen, but it's cute).

Getting some pointers from her coach Mr. B.

Go Bumblebee's Go!!

The Rams--Spring Soccor

I usually find out about soccor sign ups a week or so after the deadline has past. This year however, I found out 2 days before the deadline--Yeah. I was able to get Cailin and Delaney signed up and they are loving it.

On the center line and ready to goooooo.....

During one game, Delaney did great as a goalie. She stopped the ball before it entered the goal. Great job.
Go Rams! Yeah Rams!

Spring Soccor--On the Side Lines

I actually like soccor season....and after a month of five soccor games every week, I'm really glad I can say that, beacuse I think we'll be very busy again this coming fall when soccor startes up again.

She is my treasure.
They loved to push the stroller around, good thing there was lots of room to do it!
Gotta be just like the big kids and take a water break.

He had so much fun playing with his mower. During some of the games, if he found a soccor ball, he and Dad would play soccor. I think we have another player up and coming. More spring soccor evenings to be had in our future.

Look at Me

Looky, looky, I'm sitting up!!

Susan, our early intervention therapist, came last week and introduced Brianne to the high chair.
I didn't think she had the neck and core muscle strengh to keep her head up for longer periods of time, but she did--wrapped up in this little chair she did great.

I think she really enjoys sitting up. She has fun playing with toys and seeing the world from a new perspective.

Of course all this neck workout can tucker a poor baby out. Poor thing, I sat her in the chair while I was making dinner. I turned around and found her sound asleep.
