What'cha Do, Catch a Bug?

A few days before Brianne's 2 month checkup she came down with a cold....or what I thought was a cold. At the doctor's office the nurse checked her oxygen saturation levels and they were too low, in the mid 80's. (they are suppose to be in the mid to high 90's). Anyway, along with a few other symptoms the doctor decided to admit Brianne to the hospital. Thus began our 7 day stay in the hotel Carillion. Pneumonia? No, RSV? Negative. The diagnosis? Broncihitis...Pulmonary distress...Respiratory distress... call it what you will, but what she really had was one big, really nasty cold. She just had a difficult time over coming this viral attack. Brianne had some improvement, and in the end, when we finally got to take her back home but on oxygen. Little viral bug.....go away! Leave my little girl alone!

  2. Hopefully she won't need the O2 for very long. I'm sorry she had to be in the hospital so long but I'm glad she's doing better. I love how Liam is always snuggling up with her (I'm sure you love it too...all the time =P ) You are doing awesome, don't ever forget it!

  3. Oh, Vicki, I am so, so sorry. The couple of times that John had to be re-hospitalized scared me half to death.

Brianne is so, so, so cute! Liam is a sweet big brother. I love that picture of the two of them.

How long will she be on oxygen?

I like the tape you are using...I am gonna try to tape on the sides of John's cheeks like you have Brianne's. As John gets older he keeps trying to rip off his nasal cannula. He just won't listen to reason. The nerve.

I agree with Tiffany...You are doing awesome and don't ever forget it!! ☺
