In order to celebrate my finally finishing my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, we went to the local Macado's and watched Connor and Cailin do "Dumb Human Tricks," like who could eat the most jalapenos. I ate one, they ate many, who's the winner depends upon who you ask. If nothing else, watching Cailin after the contest was the best entertainment of the night.
I have come to understand that most big undertakings in a family are accomplished by the whole, not just the person. It is kind of a twisted "Borg" thing from Star Trek, the "Collective" is really what works together to reach individual as well as group goals. The degree took two and a half years to accomplish, however I never would have stuck with it without the support of the family. Nothing in life is worth more that having a family behind you in what you set out to do.
Miss Brianne became very good at using the straw. It took quite a bit of practice and she seemed more interested in the straw than eating. I think that is a good thing to remember, straws and glasses of ice water are much cheaper than real meals.
What a great place to celebrate...one of our favorites there. Congratulations Barry, job well done!!
