Virginia Beach Homeschool Conference 2014

Another school year has come and gone, and we've loved our time of learning, now we look forward to our time of rejuvenation, relaxation and time with other homeschool friends.  This year the conference was held at the Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach.  Cailin, Connor and I traveled in the Morgan's 12 passenger van with our friends and had a great time.

 So, hello. It's Cailin. The Home school Conference was awesome, like it always is. It was at Virginia Beach, so that was really cool, even though that beach is totally man-made. But it was awesome, even though I never really swam because I didn't want to (I'm not a swimming person, really). The band Jericho Road came to give us a concert first night, and they're awesome! And then John Bytheway came to talk to us, and I got a picture of me and Clarissa with him on my friend Grace's iPod, but then it wouldn't send the picture. So. But he's an amazing speaker and guy in general, and this conference was great!

So excited to be here and participate in another year of Home school conference fun.

Christine taught a class this year...fun with mathematics using "the Beginners Guide to Constructing the Universe".  It was fun to see the pictures and all the memories the brought back, from our time together using this book a year ago in our school history/math coop time.

We found tons of these "mermaid's purses" on the beach.  They are the egg sack for some sharks or other sea creatures.

I love this picture of Cailin....but she hates it, I don't know why.
