Early Morning Seminary....A Mormon youth's early morning adventure!
Ryan graduated this year and is thrilled, elated, excited--in your face--happy that he no longer need to get up a 5 am anymore. Connor's glad for more sleep too, but really has enjoyed this first year with Sister Davis and the others of his class. He looks forward to three more years.
This proves that he really did graduate!!
On the last day the parents of the students were invited for breakfast and to hear the youth tell us about some of their favorite scriptures, memories, thoughts and testimonies of the year.
Ss. Davis also gave out awards--some serious and others funny.
Connor-- He earned an award for 100% completion reading of the assignments.
For the funny one, it wasn't really funny but heartwarming. "Invitation to Seminary"--Norberto's pillow captivated him for a few months. During a stake activity Connor told him that he missed him and hoped that he would come back to seminary. Well, Norberto did! And he finished the rest of the year.
Ryan--He also earned an award for 100% completion of reading the assignment. He and Connor would get up at 5 am every morning to read the scriptures before class. This really helped them be able to contribute to class....when Ryan wasn't sleeping again in class!! ;)
He also got a "where's the candy?" award. Apparently Ss. Davis rewarded the youth with candy for various things...and Ryan never let her forget it. She raised 3 boys, she knows food is a great motivator...for girls too, I might add!
