It has been said that "out of the mouth of babes", comes words that confound the wise. The other day I had to opportunity to witness Liam's simple but wise way of seeing the world. When I work the midnight shift my part of the bed is rarely empty. Delaney, Liam and usually Brianne somehow find their into the vacancy to keep Vicki company. As I was preparing to go to bed Liam had just woke up. He sat in the bed appearing to be in deep thought. He said to me, " I don't know why Bre-Bre would not eat her Chocolate cake. I assumed that he was talking about something that had happened the previous night. I made an half hearted attempt to put his mind at ease by saying that maybe she just was not hungry. He looked at me as if I was stupid and said, " I'm not hungry when I eat chocolate cake!" I think that I lost a bit of respect in his eyes that day. Surely he was disappointed to find that dad has a few less brain cells that he had imagined.
