...yet, I did manage to get them to do a bit of school work too....however, to get spelling completed I had to add a "fun" factor to it...they wrote their words out in shaving cream.
....after lunch, I was just to tired to keep hounding them to complete their work...so I put us all to work in the garden.
....ah, the spring sunshine and breezy air was just the thing to lift our spirits. Winter hasn't been overly harsh this year, but I'm ready to be done with it!! I loved playing in the dirt and finally getting a portion of my spring garden planted (3 kinds of lettuce, cilantro, onions) Brianne loved being able to crawl around....she even enjoyed playing in the dirt too...and eating a bit of it....I'd say that's the ultimate in organic eating!!
Connor enjoyed some time with his dogs...and they loved playing catch with the tennis ball.
Cailin, who had a large paper due the next day, still wanted to enjoy the warm weather...I didn't get a photo of her, but she got her paper done and enjoyed the suns rays by bringing her work outside and writing while sitting on our park bench in the corner of the garden...what dedication!!
...hey we did get a bit of science in...Delaney found a live sample of the annelid class, invertebrate phylum, kingdom animalia, to observe and touch!
