It's been raining off and on all day today. I saw another storm looming on the horizon and I hurried to get my broccoli plants set out so they could enjoy the pending rain storm. I wish I would have waited! The closer the storm came the more ominous the clouds began to look...I even wondered if we might be under another tornado watch. I called Barry, who was working, and he assured me that there wasn't one...and then the hail began...
...and down it came even stronger and harder...and now my broccoli plants are flat.
What a storm...pea sized hail, and lots of it. I don't remember such a hail storm, but Ryan tells me this was how the tornado for two years ago began...and it made him quite nervous.
The Cailin, Delaney and Liam have enjoyed playing in the hail, much like they would have if it had been snow....Ahhhh, simple joys. (after the storm finished of course)
I love an exciting storm!

ReplyDelete...a moment of silence for your poor little broccoli plants...
...they died so young...
This is awful...and proves I have an addiction to sweets...but I kind of want to scoop up some of those little hail bits and pour colored sugar water over them and have a slushie.
So funny, we didn't get any hail, just 25 min away.
