Popcorn Popping on the Bradford Pear Tree

As we were heading down the street, past this home with many flowering Bradford Pear trees, Liam pipes up and asks...."Is that popcorn growing on those trees?"   After we all chuckled at his innocent question we answered it, "No, just pretty white flowers".  We then sang the Popcorn Popping song with him and had a joyous time.
After this comment, and because spring is my favorite season, I just had to get the kids out to see the spectacular spring colors abounding in our neighborhood.

Our peach tree....Mmmmm, can't wait for those juicy fruits in the summer months.

Delaney took this photo...I guess she likes evergreen trees as well as flowering trees too.

Daffodils, I think these are my all time favorite flower.

Today is officially the first day of spring!! yeah!!

  2. Ohhhhhhhh, the pictures you took are so beautiful. I miss Virginia so much *sigh*

That is so cute how Liam asked about the popcorn on the trees. Huh?...I wonder if it was Bradford Pear Trees that inspired that song. Liam is right...they really do look like popcorn. I love how you sang the song with him after he asked. It was one of those perfect, "Cue the music!" moments ☺

  3. Beautiful! I love spring! My allergies hate the pollen down here, but I love the flowering trees and bushes. We have a ton of beautiful azaleas down here, but I have to enjoy them while I can because they only last about 2 weeks. My kids love the popcorn trees too, but they say they think they also look like marshmallows!
