We created our own rendition of Shakespeare's 'The Globe' theatre in the Mattson's basement. Here we present the cast of Macbeth by Shakespeare--from the witches scene (Act 4 Scene 1)
| Connor was the narrator, speaking the words below... |
"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
Round about the cauldron go; In the severed fingers throw.
Fillet of a fenny snake. In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog. Wool of bat and tongue of dog.
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting. Lizard's leg and owlet's wing.
For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hot broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf, Witches' mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravined salt-sea shark, Gall of goat removed in the dark.

| Cailin is help Liam drink the baboon's blood. |
Now drink a cup of baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
Stirring up the Eye of Newt Soup...Mmmm
Now, here is another 'Eye of Newt soup', that these hungry stage actors could really fill up on!
Fingers-- carrots
Eye of newt-- split peas
Tongue of dog-- bacon strips
Owlet's wing-- soybeans
Dragons eye--
Lizard's legs--onion slices
Tooth of wolf-- corn
Scale of dragon--oregano
Gall of goat--
We also dined on baboon's blood-- a peach with crushed strawberries drink
We had a great time...and now we're enjoying watching and listening to more of Shakespeare's works. Last night we watched Henry V, we've also watched Much Ado About Nothing. We've listened to Jim Weiss's telling of Taming of the Shrew and A Midnight's Summer Dream....and we hope to travel to northern Virginia to see a real stage performance soon.
Mmmmmmm....Looks yummy!!!!
